Well, I have been on hiatus for a few days. Things around here have been pretty busy with the kids. I am hoping that this week I can find some "mommy time" because momma needs it! I have neglected my blog, which I swore I wasnt going to do, shame on me! But, I have made a comittment to blog once a day starting today. Lets hope that I can achive that!
On another note, I did manage to get "some" baking done this weekend. Yes, I love baking and cooking, those are my 2 most favorite hobbies. I have a baking blog, but I dont have it up and running yet..so be on the lookout for that. My sweet husband thinks I need to go into business for myself, and I am certainly thinking about it! I have most of the licenses that I need, just need to find a place (that is reasonable and affordable) to set up shop! My passion is baking for friends and family but he insists that I should do it full-time and make some extra money doing it. He said there is nothing wrong with making a little extra money doing something you love. So my question to you is...How many of you have a hobbie that you use to make a little extra money? All input and ideas welcome! I would love to hear ideas from others! So, post away!

I cannot wait to see your baking blog. I say if you love it and would like to pursue it as a business go for it! That might be something you can try and if it does not work out, you will at least know you tried it and will never have the "what if's" running through your head.
ReplyDeleteI love taking photos and I am like you with your baking, I do them for family and close friends. However, I would LOVE to get a nice camera and branch out and do them for some extra $$$. Why not put your skill to use? I mean if you do it well and you could make money doing it, why not? I look forward to seeing your new blog! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking to make some extra cash, I personally feel that it's best to do something you enjoy! Good luck with this! You can find some great tips online for packaging, etc. if you choose to sell your products. I'd love to see some pictures, too!
